FAQS ON VOLUNTEERING

THE POWER OF VOLUNTEERING

Introduction

At the Mount Jefferson Snowmobile Club, our mission is to provide an unparalleled snowmobiling experience across the entire state of Oregon. Through our dedication and hard work, we solve the problem of inaccessible and poorly maintained trails, ensuring that snowmobilers can enjoy safe, navigable, and enjoyable routes.

Personal Story and Values

Our club's values are deeply rooted in community, adventure, and environmental stewardship. Let me share a story that encapsulates these values. One winter, a family new to snowmobiling joined our club. Initially hesitant, they quickly found camaraderie and support among our members. Through volunteer-led training sessions, they learned to navigate the trails confidently. By the end of the season, they had not only mastered snowmobiling but also formed lifelong friendships. This story illustrates our commitment to fostering a welcoming community and promoting the joy of snowmobiling.

The Problem

Snowmobilers often face challenges such as unsafe conditions and unreliable trail maintenance. Additionally, navigating the trails can be difficult without proper signage and grooming. These issues can lead to frustration and limit the sense of adventure that snowmobilers seek. At the Mount Jefferson Snowmobile Club, we address these problems by providing well-maintained trails and clear signage, ensuring that riders can explore confidently and return to their starting points without hassle.

Our Success

Our club’s efforts extend beyond the Santiam Pass and Hoodoo area to include the Tombstone Pass and McKenzie Pass regions. By expanding our reach, we ensure that more snowmobilers can enjoy high-quality trails. Our success is measured by the satisfaction and safety of our riders, as well as the thriving snowmobiling community we have built.
